IPL 2018, SRH vs KKR, Match 54: Bhuvneshwar Kumar was been confused in the death overs of late whether it is batting or bowling

Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a comeback into the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side after suffering a minor injury. Bhuvneshwar had to come in to bat on the last ball of SRH’s innings. He got the strike on the last ball of the first innings after a flurry of wickets in the previous over. The SRH bowling spearhead tried connecting a slower bouncer from Prasidh Krishna. The intention was to sneak a single through byes but Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik caught hold of it.

Karthik took his time and aimed for the stumps. Bhuvneshwar was left stranded as the non-striker batsman Siddharth Kaul decided not to go for a run. Bhuvneshwar was way out of the crease and had no chance to make his ground and departed for a golden duck.

Bhuvneshwar-Kaul seemed to agree that there was no single as they walked back to the dressing room. He became Karthik’s third dismissal of the innings. The last over from Prasidh witnessed just 4 runs being scored at the expense of 4 wickets. Prasidh ended up with stunning bowling figures of 4 wickets for 30 runs.

The 28-year-old has not been impressive in the previous few games. He was finessed by Rishabh Pant during his whirlwind record-breaking century at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. His death overs bowling has suffered of late. SRH are currently in the first position on Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 points table. On the other hand, KKR need a win to ensure that they make it into the playoffs.
