Catches win matches is one of the most famous phrases used in the game of cricket. A catch can turn the game in favour of the fielding side.

In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, we have witnessed many blinders being taken so far at the boundary rope. Fielders have shown some superb athleticism and the effort they put in to get to the ball.

In yesterday’s match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, AB de Villiers and Rashid Khan displayed some amazing presence of mind to pluck a one-handed blinder to stun all.

While chasing 219 runs set by RCB, Kane Williamson-led side SRH went off to a flier as both the opening batsmen, Shikhar Dhawan and Alex Hales, were clearing boundaries with ease. In the 8th over of their innings, Hales, who was looking dangerous, having already hit three sixes and two boundaries, smashed another one to clear the rope.

Unfortunately for Hales, SRH’s one of the fittest fielder AB de Villiers was stationed there, who took the one-handed blinder at the boundary rope.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli termed AB’s catch as one of the best in cricket history and compared him to a Marvel superhero. Kohli on his Twitter wrote: “Saw SpiderMan live today”.

Earlier during RCB’s batting, SRH’s spinner Rashid Khan showed exceptional effort in the field to took a one-handed blinder to dismiss Colin de Grandhomme who played a short delivery from Siddarth Kaul in the 20th over towards deep mid-wicket hoping to clear a boundary rope.

During the 19th match of the IPL 2018 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi Daredevils’ Trent Boult was the first who displayed the superb reflexes to pluck a one-handed blinder to dismiss RCB’s skipper Virat Kohli.

Boult was stationed at deep square-leg when he grabbed a one-handed blinder just inside the boundary rope. RCB’s skipper Kohli was left stunned and he couldn’t believe his eyes.
