Watch Virat Kohli practice hitting sixes after being declared fit for IPL battle

The most reliable batsman of India, the ever-bankable captain Virat Kohli is set to return to action and will lead the Royal Challengers Bangalore side in an Indian Premier League match against Mumbai Indians on April 14. Virat, who is out of action from almost past one month, was on April 13 declared fit by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team.

Virat Kohli suffered a shoulder injury while he dived to save a boundary during the third test of the four-Test series against Australia in Ranchi last month and since then, he has been missing from action.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team on Wednesday confirmed that Indian Cricket team and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has regained match fitness,” the board said in a statement.

Earlier on Thursday, Virat Kohli hit the nets to prepare for the battle that the wounded warrior had been watching painstakingly. In the video shared by Indian Premier League on their official Twitter handle, the Delhi batsman can be seen hitting the balls all around the park during the practice session.

The presence of Virat Kohli, who likes to lead the team from the front, will help boost the confidence in RCB’s players. The Challenger’s have lost two out of the three matches that they have played so far in his absence.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are high on confidence with back-to-back two consecutive home victories.
