Watch: This was the wicket MS Dhoni reminded Kevin Pietersen to shut him up on LIVE television!

It was in 2011 at Lords when MS Dhoni had to bowl several overs in the absence of Zaheer Khan. India lost the series back then by 4-0

The game between Rising Pune Supergiants and Mumbai Indians took place in Pune was indeed a thriller dosage but the swag of former skipper MS Dhoni was something which can’t be easily ignored. Right in the beginning of the game, Dhoni’s wittiest reply to Kevin Pietersen, who was among the commentators, made it clear that nobody could beat his class when it comes to answering tricky questions. And after that, Pietersen, who thought to take a funny jibe at Mahi, could only laugh as he went out of words.

As asked by Kevin Pietersen, Manoj Tiwari, who was already having a conversation with Petersen, conveyed his message to MS Dhoni—Bhaiyya, Pietersen keh raha hain woh aapse accha golfer hain (Pietersen is saying he is a better golfer than you). Having no idea of getting trolled on the national television, Pietersen was eagerly waiting for the answer but Dhoni’s words confounded him. Dhoni said,”You are still my first Test wicket!”.

The commentators in the commentary box couldn’t help themselves but laugh on Dhoni’s savage reply.

To counter Pieterson’s Golf remarks, Dhoni mentioned the instance from a test match played between India and England in 2011 at Lords when he has to bowl several overs as Zaheer Khan has to move out due to a hamstring. Pietersen was caught by Rahul Dravid behind the wickets in Dhoni’s delivery and was given out by umpire Billy Bowden. But the decision was overruled later as after taking the referral it was found that the batsman didn’t edge the ball. Pietersen played a massive knock of 202 in that game and England won the Test match.

Here’s how Dhoni dismissed Pietersen 6 years back:

Surprisingly, after this particular game, MS Dhoni never ever bowled in Test cricket.
