Indian Premier League 10 season got off to superb start after the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched the victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore

The 10th season of the Indian Premier League got off to a superb start after the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched the victory by 35 runs over Shane Watson-led Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 5.

On being asked to bat first, Hyderabad posted a commanding 207/4 in their allotted 20 overs. At the start of the innings, SRH dealt a big blow after the lost their skipper David Warner when he was batting at 14. Following this, Shikhar Dhawan and Moises Henriques together put up a 74-run second-wicket stand to put SRH in the strong position.

After Dhawan walked back to the pavilion, veteran Punjab batsman Yuvraj Singh, then joined the run feast and together with Australian all-rounder Henriques, brought up another 58-run stand for the third wicket to take the hosts past the 150-run mark by the 15th over.

During this course, Yuvraj made on to score his fastest IPL half century in just 23 balls.

Then batsmen Deepak Hooda and Ben Cutting provided the finishing touch with some lusty blows to take the home side past the 200-run mark.

In reply, RCB were bowled out for 172 runs in 19.4 overs.

Soon after their victory, Hyderabad’s left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan shared a video on his Instagram handle in which we can see Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra dancing to celebrate their win over the RCB.

Shikhar captioned the video as: “Naach Basanti Naach, Jab TAk Tere Paer Chalengey Tab Tak Inki Saansein #gabbar.”
