On April 24, the entire nation is celebrating the birthday of the God of Cricket – Sachin Tendulkar and are paying their tribute on social media through different ways. Every Sachin fan is remembering their role model and chanting his name. Amid all these wishes and blessings, Sachin is giving his precious time to Mumbai Indians as they are playing Rising Pune Supergiant at Wankhede Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) game number 28.
During the game, the cricketer turned commentator Mathew Hayden had a chat with Sachin near the MI dugout. Hayden brought a cake which had the shape of a cricket field with a bat and a ball on it. Sachin cut the cake and celebrated his birthday right there at the Wankhede stadium during a live game. While cutting the cake, Sachin said,”I thought we would be cutting the quietly and didn’t expect the whole stadium would be singing happy birthday for me.”
When asked to cut the cake, Sachin said,”It would be nice not to cut the cricket bat but the outfield finding the gap.”
“Being 44 years is nice but I can’t believe I have turned 44,” he added.
Sachin spoke about his upcoming biopic onMay 26 and asserted that it’s impossible for him to realise that he has turned 44. He also expressed his feelings about IPL which is getting bigger and bigger year by year and it’s good that the families have started attending the live matches. He stated that by the course of time, the game of cricket is changing vigorously. Also, in the past 10 years, the IPL has provided a great platform to the youngsters.
Prior to this game, the MI team celebrated Sachin’s 44th birth anniversary and shared some of those moments of on the social media. Several players and support staffs shared their personal experiences with Sachin on the camera.
