The league games have ended and now it’s time for the finals in IPL 2017. MI have dominated almost all the teams through the tournament but RPS. They have lost both the games played against RPS who have made their way from the seventh spot to the second spot in the IPL standings.
Head-to-head
MI will have the support of their home crowd against RPS who won their first league game at Wankhede. As far as head-to-head of both teams are concerned, MI have been able to win just one game out of four against RPS.
Pitch Report
Wankhede’s pitch is a batting paradise, expect a run fest in the first qualifier similar to the game against Kings XI Punjab where the total score of the teams was over 450. On the other hand, expect fast bowlers to get some lateral movement. All will depend on the opening bowlers to provide breakthroughs in the powerplay overs.
Who will replace Ben Stokes?
The question of the hour is which overseas player will replace the star all-rounder Stokes as he has already left for national duty. Lockie Ferguson is most likely to replace him if he passes the fitness test. On the other hand, Usman Khwaja might get to play his first game in the season as Ajinkya Rahane has not been able to score up the order and compliment in-form domestic sensation, Rahul Tripathi.
