In photos: Shah Rukh Khan takes out time from busy schedule to support KKR in its final game at Eden Gardens

It was the last chance for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing season of the IPL to stand at the top slot of the points table. They had a good net run rate, great batting line up, a better bowling attack with the inclusion of  Trent Boult and all they needed to defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden gardens to enter the qualifiers like a boss. And guess what, apart from the home support, Gautam Gambhir & Co. had another lucky charm present at the stadium and he was none other than KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan.

As confirmed earlier by KKR CEO Venky Mysore, Shah Rukh made his presence just for his team which has been doing extremely well in the tournament. Shah Rukh was spotted sitting in the gallery among the crowd of people. Apart from Shah Rukh, Bollywood actors Sonu Sood and Sanjay Kapoor were also present with him watching the game and cheering for KKR.

Earlier on May 10,  he consoled his team after they lost their previous game to Kings XI Punjab by 14 runs. Shah Rukh took to his twitter account back then and wrote,”Lost our way a bit tonight…does not mean we can’t reach the destination. Onward with more resolve…lov u boys. @lynny50 well played. Ami KKR.”

It was for the second time in the ongoing season of IPL that King Khan was spotted among the crowd. Earlier on April 7, Shah Rukh was present at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot to watch KKR’s first game against the Gujarat Lions. His youngest son Abram was also with him and their pictures broke the internet that day as they went viral.

That day, SRK’s presence turned out to be luckier for Kolkata as they won the game by 10 wickets and marked their first and only biggest victory in this season.
