The Indian Premier League (IPL) has not only been known for the dosage of entertainment through cricket but also for the spirit and dedication for the game shown by the cricketers. Over the years, since 2008, numerous on-field heroics has been witnessed and tournament by tournament, these special performances are getting more superb and extraordinary.
In the current season, once again a supernatural performance was seen in the game number 17 between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Kolkata came on the field to chase 168 in the second innings and unfortunately, they got reduced to 21 for 3 right there in the beginning. But Yusuf Pathan’s 59 and Manish Pandey’s 69 took the carnage to the victory.
Meanwhile, a superman stunt done by Sanju Samson left a special mark. From the last two overs, only 17 runs were needed to win the game by KKR. Chris Morris bowled a full-length delivery and Pandey hit it over the mid-wicket region with all his. The ball seemed crossing the boundary line but there came Sanju Samson empowered with his supernatural capabilities with his own plan. Running towards his right, Samson dived full-lenght to catch the ball with both his hands. However, he had an idea that he would step outside the boundary line and threw the ball inside the rope. He save four runs for his team.
Morris gave 4 more runs off the remaining 4 balls as KKR needed 9 off the last six balls. Mishra bowled the last over and took a wicket but Manish hit a six to make it 2 off 2 balls. Finally Manish picked another double as Kolkata scampered home with a ball to spare.
