IPL 10 RPS v RCB: Pune pulls off an anti-climax! Beats star studded Bangalore by 27 runs

With this defeat, RCB now stands at the 8th position in the points tally with only one win and 2 points in their account

In the game number 17 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10, the Rising Pune Supergiant has beaten the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 27 runs and got their 2nd victory in this tournament. After this victory, the RPS has not only surpassed the Gujarat Lions and RCB and hs reached to the 6th position in the points tally but also proved that how to win a game with utmost brilliance. Ben Stokes was nominated as the Man of the Match!

Virat Kohli after winning the toss elected to ball first and asked the RPS side to come and bat. With several small but yet helpful innings, RPS managed to put a target of 162 for the RCB to chase. Skipper Virat along with Mandeep Singh came to open the innings and it seemed that Kohli will again ruin the opponent bowling attack as he hit a humongous six in the first over itself. The first dent to Bangalore happened in the second over itself after Mandeep Singh was dismissed for a golden duck by Shardul Thakur.

When the score 41/1, a huge blow came to the RCB dugout in the form of Virat Kohli’s dismissal. Kohli tried to hit a bigger one but was caught by Rahane after he had scored 28 of 19 balls. There was complete silence among the Virat fans as he was dismissed so early. A few moments later, another big hitter from the squad, AB de Villiers was sent back to the pavilion by Imran Tahir.

Right from that moment, the rest of the RCB batsmen neither withstand the RPS bowling attack nor scored more than 18 runs. The bowlers troubled the batsmen with slower deliveries throughout the game and the entire batting line-up collapsed with 27 runs left to chase.
