IPL 10: Good news for RPS fans! R Ashwin to join the squad for the rest of the tournament

Ashwin has been phenomenal in the home test season with the bowl as he took a record 82 wickets in 13 Tests

The Rising Pune Supergiant has been struggling with their performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 till now. After losing 3 games out of 4 they have played, RPS is lying at the bottom of the points tally with just 2 points. Amid this tremble, the main spinner of the squad will be joining back despite being injured at the moment. And he is none other than Ravichandran Ashwin.

After the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, Ashwin sustained a  hernia injury. But after a special request from the support staff of the RPS and the owner Sanjiv Goenka, Ashwin has confirmed his comeback in the forthcoming games.

However, Ashwin has is also very much keen to challenge his injury but former skipper MS Dhoni has warned Ashwin of dire consequences if he participates in this IPL. He can bowl just by taking a jump so that he should not feel the pain, as he said. As per the media reports, he said,”I succeeded many times with my bowling performance these years and bowling will still instill fear in the batsman’s mind. For a number of years, I have wondered as a spinner, having a run-up is futile anyway.”

Ashwin has been phenomenal in the home test season with the bowl as he took a record 82 wickets in 13 Tests.

The Rising Pune Supergiants made the headlines right after they bought Englishman Ben Stokes for Rs 14.5 crore and he became the most expensive player of this tournament. Despite, so many big names including Steven Smith, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Ben Stokes, the team has massively failed to perform.
