IPL 10 DD vs KKR, Match 18, innings report: Thanks to Pant power, DD get a decent total 168

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and looking at the good batting strip opted to bat first. It was a bold move by Zaheer Khan considering KKR are more at home when they are chasing. Delhi Daredevils got off to a flyer, thanks to Sanju Samson and Sam Billings. Billings was the first to depart after scoring 21 off 17 balls. Getting to play his first game, Nathan Courter-Nile was among the wickets straightaway, dismissing Billings, Uthappa took the catch. Sanju Samson, the in-form batsman who already registered a century in the league was promising to do something similar failed. He was dismissed on 39 off 25 balls, before Umesh Yadav got him out, Robin Uthappa was again the catcher.

The two Indians Shreyas Iyer-Karun Nair steadied the ship and got their innings back on track. They started off by knocking around for singles and once they were set, they changed gears. Just as things were looking up, Shreyas Iyer departed to a freak run out for 26 off 17 balls. Karun Nair too followed suite trying to up the ante, Nathan Courter Nile got him bowled for 21. Courter Nile really made his presence felt. That is when Rishabh Pant decided to take it upon himself. He picked up 21 off a Umesh yadav over, where he hit him for 3 sixes in that over. In the very next over Gautam Gambhir introduced Narine and got rid of Angelo Matthews for 1. Finally, Nathan Courter Nile got the better of dangerous Pant for 38 off 16. He was looking ominous. DD set KKR a target of 169.
