Lahore Whites won the game after they set a target of 179 runs for Rawalpindi

In one of the hilarious decisions ever made in cricket, a Pakistani umpire recently surprised everyone after he called a legal yorker delivery as wide. The incident happened during the T20 match between Lahore Whites and the Rawalpindi in the ongoing National T20 Cup.

During the match, Pakistani left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir was assigned to bowl the final over of Lahore’s innings. Tanvir bowled the third ball of his over a perfect yorker which passed between Bilal Asif’s legs. Asif moved towards the leg stump looking to clear the boundary. The umpire, identified as Tahir Rasheed, however, called Tanvir’s delivery a wide one.

The umpire’s decision didn’t go down well with Tanvir and other Rawalpindi players as they were left stunned for while on the field.

Lahore Whites, however, won the game after they set a target of 179 runs for Rawalpindi. Kamran Akmal was the top scorer for the Lahore team as he scored 65 runs from 37 balls with the help of seven boundaries and four sixes. Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Nawaz were the picks among bowlers for Rawalpindi for grabbing two wickets each.

In reply, Rawalpindi could only manage to score 150/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Umar Amin was the top scorer for his team as he scored 35 runs from 23 deliveries.
