In one of the hilarious decisions ever made in cricket, a Pakistani umpire recently surprised everyone after he called a legal yorker delivery as wide. The incident happened during the T20 match between Lahore Whites and the Rawalpindi in the ongoing National T20 Cup.
During the match, Pakistani left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir was assigned to bowl the final over of Lahore’s innings. Tanvir bowled the third ball of his over a perfect yorker which passed between Bilal Asif’s legs. Asif moved towards the leg stump looking to clear the boundary. The umpire, identified as Tahir Rasheed, however, called Tanvir’s delivery a wide one.
