Here's why SmackDown Live's WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event was simply smacking

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs is WWE's last big calendar event of 2016

SmackDown Live successfully managed to complete the WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event in style, thus once again setting the standards for its WWE counterparts – Raw. The 2016 extravaganza kicked off with the ’10-Man Tag Team Match’, the bout was not as special as fans predicted it to be. The team of American Alpha, The Hype Brothers, and Apollo Crews comfortably ousted the side of The Ascension, The Vaudevillains, and Curt Hawkins.

In the ‘Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match’, reigning champion The Miz alongside Maryse defended his title against Dolph Ziggler. When it comes to Miz, it’s always about cheating, so there was no chance of Ziggler earning the bragging rights this time.

Next up was ‘SmackDown Women’s Championship Tables Match’ between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss. In what was perhaps the most grueling fight of the night, Bliss shocked the entire WWE fraternity by claiming the title from the defending champion, leaving the Irish Lass-Kicker in disbelief.

WWE World Championship Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match was the main event of the night, the fight between AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose. The Phenomenal One managed to retain his title against the Lunatic Fringe with the outside help of James Ellsworth. The bout between two absolute fighters ended on a controversial note. Ellsworth will now have to prepare for a showdown against Styles for the championship and then a possible trip to Ambrose Asylum.
