Watch! When Ishant Sharma made FACES to send Renshaw packing

India v Australia Ranchi: Renshaw was pushed on the backfoot and then Ishant Sharma bowled one right up. Renshaw was late to bring his bat down and was out

This is not the first time and it surely won’t be the last time we will see Ishant Sharma making animated faces on the playing field to get into the mind of the batsman, forcing a mistake. India are playing Australia in Ranchi and today is the last day of the Test. Virat Kohli and his team will be expecting nothing less than a win to take an unassailable lead in the series that is locked at 1-1. The first session of the morning session saw India get two important wickets of the well-set Renshaw and an in form Steven Smith. Now India needs six balls for a win, but it will surely not be easy knowing Australia and their ability to fight back from tough situations. Australia still trail by 69 runs as they head for lunch.

But what we are talking about or is trending is the way Ishant laid a trap for Renshaw. First when Ishant ran in to bowl, Renshaw backed out, that frustrated Ishant and he threw the ball wildly at the keeper and then immediately followed it up with a chat. Then the next ball, Ishant bowled and Renshaw defended, Ishant did not stop he carried on the banter. He followed it up with a raging bouncer, which Renshaw kept out beautifully. He lapped it with another bouncer, trying to shrug off his frustration. Then came the ball, that angled in and hit Renshaw low on his pads, he was on the front foot but he did not get a timber on it. They reviewed only to find out that the ball was hitting the middle of the middle stump, he was plumb. It was like a double bluff where he set up Renshaw with those bouncers, pushing him on the backfoot and then Ishant Sharma bowled one right up. Renshaw was late to bring his bat down and was out.
