WATCH: Chris Gayle shares an explicit post to mark the "don't blush baby" controversy

Gayle has a special message for the Aussies after his "sexist" controversy with Mel McLaughlin in last year's BBL

West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle is known for his all-around performance on the field both with the bat as well as with the ball. Off the field, the big Jamaican surely knows how to charm everyone with his magnetic personality. Chris Gayle unleashed his new avatar while welcoming 2017. Gayle and his partner Natasha Berridge attended the #UltraCarnival that was held in St. Kitts.

The 37-year-old was sporting printed bermuda shorts with the Jamaican flag painted on his bare chest. Not to miss was his golden beard with golden reflectors and the carnivalesque headgear. Natasha, on the other hand, was wearing a one-piece of the same print as Gayle’s shorts, making the couple colour coordinated. It was evident from the photos that the couple was having a gala time. Amid the festivities, Gayle had a special message to share for the Aussies.

Remember the incident where Gayle was rebuked for his sexist remarks against the then Network 10 host Mel McLaughlin? Well, Gayle was playing for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL) last year. After he was dismissed, he was interviewed by McLaughlin. During a live TV interview, Gayle asked out the reporter for a drink. While McLaughlin didn’t respond, Gayle said, “don’t blush baby.” The incident sparked a debate worldwide on Gayle’s sexist remarks.

Gayle was fined $10,000 for his inappropriate comments and he also apologised to the reporter. Within a month of the episode, Gayle was blessed with a daughter who he named Blush. Gayle was not picked up by any team this year for the BBL. Marking a year to the entire controversy, Gayle posted an explicit post with his partner Natasha with the caption, “4th Jan officially 1 year anniversary #DontBlushBaby – Australia, lighten the phuck Up!!! #StreetBruckOut #Ultra #CaribbeanTheBest.”

Well, Gayle’s swag is unmatched for sure. Food for thought, has Gayle been impacted so bad from the controversy that he has to upload a video to prove his point?
