Sachin Tendulkar is not a mere name, he is a synonym for God in India

Nobody knew that April 24 will ever be the same after a boy with curly hair, born in 1973 in Maharashtra would grow up to become a man who will be worshipped equally by all the religions in a diverse India. The boy, who later went on to become the God of the Gentlemen’s game, is Sachin Tendulkar. Several years have passed since then and today, on April 24, 2017, Sachin has turned 44.

Fondly called as ‘the Little Master’ in cricket fraternity, Sachin is an idol for many cricketers. Even after he has retired from all formats of the game, his records still stand tall and remain untouched.

Wishing him on his birthday, fans from all across the world have poured in messages on social media site Twitter. And one of his admirer, his very own partner in explosive batting, Virender Sehwag, who is also known for his witty punches on social media wished his “God ji’ in style.

Sehwag took to Twitter and shared a picture of Sachin and himself in a flight. He captioned the picture, “A rare occasion when one could have committed a crime, God ji sleeping. To a man who could stop time in India, #HappyBirthdaySachin”

However, Sachin Tendulkar is yet to respond to the unique birthday wish from his mate Virender Sehwag. Not only Sehwag, cricketers, team mates, fans across the world have wished Sachin on Twitter.
