India skipper Virat Kohli, apart from being a modern-era batting maestro, is also known for his endless love for dogs. His social media account is full of his pictures with his pet Bruno which shows his fondness for dogs. And away from home, his love affair with dog continued at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur ahead of the second day’s play of India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test match.

During the warm-up session in the morning, Virat took out a few moments to spend with the security dog present at the stadium. It was a labrador dog who was brought in the field by one of the security officials. The dog had held a ball in his jaws while Kohli went closer and cuddled him.

The Indian cricket board also shared a few pictures of Kohli with the security dog on Twitter. They wrote a caption which said: “Sharing a light moment with man’s best friend – Captain @imVkohli before the start of day’s play.”

Currently, India is taking on Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test of a 3-match series in Nagpur. On day 1, the Indian bowlers, especially the spinners, dominated and overshadowed the Lankan batting. After failing to create any difference in the first match, Ravichandran Ashwin plucked 4-wickets while Jadeja and Ishant Sharma bagged 3 wickets each.

The Lankans were bundled on 205 while India lost the wicket of KL Rahul and concluded their inning on 11/1 by the stumps. Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara resumed the game on the second day.
