The Champions Trophy 2017 final between India and Pakistan was one of the most talked-about cricketing events of the year. The favourites of the tournament,India, were handed a humiliating defeat. After the match, a video of Shoaib Malik went viral where it seems he was explaining something to Virat Kohli & Co.
A year later, Malik revealed the real story behind the viral video during an interview with Pakistani journalist Zainab Abbas. Here’s what he said in the episode Voice of Cricket show,
“We were playing the Champions Trophy final against India and during the presentation, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and myself were laughing. We were discussing the catch and laughing,”
In the latest episode of Voice of Cricket @realshoaibmalik joins @ZAbbasOfficial and narrates what Saeed Ajmal said after the dropped catch, his last wish before retirement, what Sialkot Stallions means to him and much more!

“I asked Ajmal ‘if you had positioned yourself to take the catch, why did you pull out at the last moment’? He said that he waited crouched on the ground to take the catch just in case you drop it,” he added.
The dropped catch of Chris Gayle is a part of almost every ‘fail compilation’ of cricket. Ajmal let the ball fall on the ground which led to Malik standing red-faced in disbelief in an ODI against West Indies.
