Shoaib Malik does a Yuvraj Singh, hits 6 sixes in an over – WATCH

The former Pakistan captain achieved this feat in a T10 charity match organised by Shahid Afridi Foundation at Faisalabad

Shoaib Malik — currently the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in T20Is with 1821 runs under his belt — on December 24 grabbed the spotlight after he did a Yuvraj Singh by hitting 6 sixes in an over. The former Pakistan captain achieved this feat in a T10 charity match organised by Shahid Afridi Foundation at Faisalabad.

Malik, playing for Shahid Afridi Foundation Red team, launched the attack in 7th over of their innings after they were asked to bat first. Malik smashed Shahid Afridi Foundation Green team’s Babar Azam to every corner of the ground.

With this, Malik became the first batsman to hit six consecutive sixes in the newest format of the game.

In their allotted 10 overs, the Red team set a 202-run target for the Green team all thanks to Malik’s dazzling play.

In reply, Babar Azam managed to take his revenge as he hammered a 26-ball century as the Green team chased down the target to win the match by nine wickets.

Sir Garfield Sobers
Considered as one of the greatest all-rounders in cricket, Sir Garfield Sobers became the first batsman in cricket history to smash six sixes in an over on August 31, 1968. He achieved this feat in a first-class cricket match.

The explosive batsman from South Africa, Gibbs was the first batsman in One-Day International cricket to hit six consecutive sixes. He achieved this feat in the 2007 World Cup.

Yuvraj Singh
Nicknamed the ‘comeback man’, Yuvraj smashed England’s Stuart Broad all around the park during the World T20 in 2007. Though he is now struggling to find a place in the Indian team, Yuvraj Singh was then in his prime during that period.
