Fakhar Zaman's Run Out Superior To Anything Jonty Rhodes Did, Says Sarfraz Ahmed

Why would you say something like that Sarfraz Ahmed?

It was a brilliant effort from Pakistan to seal the T20I series with a convincing win over Australia in the second match. Pakistan fielders dropped catches of the dangerous Glenn Maxwell, but Fakhar Zaman redeemed the fielding side with a magnificent run out to dismiss Ben McDermott in the 14th over.

McDermott tried to sneak a single by dabbing the ball towards short mid wicket. Fakhar Zaman charged towards the ball, he dived and threw it towards the non-striker’s end. He did not even look at the stumps before throwing it. He did it in one quick motion pulling off one of the best run outs of the year.

Here’s a look at the run out:

However, Sarfraz went a little overboard praising Zaman’s heroics in the field. He said in the press conference, “The way Fakhar Zaman did that run-out, maybe even Jonty Rhodes would not have done a run-out like that,”

For all cricket fans, former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes is to fielding what Sachin Tendulkar is to batting. The legendary fielder has pulled off stunning catches, unreal run outs with his agile display on the field. He turned matches with his lightening-fast fielding efforts. There is enough evidence in the history for that.

The Pakistan skipper should have realised that he had reactions like these coming after that comment:
