Sachin Tendulkar requests Twitter to remove all fake accounts of Arjun and Sara Tendulkar

Since Sachin has made it clear that his children are not on Twitter, the site should take strict action as soon as possible

Sachin Tendulkar has been active on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, for quite a long time now. He never misses any chance to promote any social cause through his account. However, this time that he has alerted his 20.1 million followers not to trust the fake accounts of his children Sara and Arjun who are not even on Twitter. He has even appealed to Twitter to remove all the fake accounts and take necessary action immediately.

This is not the first time that Sachin said it publicly. In the year 2014, he tweeted the same thing and wrote,”Please don’t trust the fake Twitter handles of my children Sara and Arjun. They are not on Twitter.”

But it seems that the previous post didn’t work out properly and Sachin had to appeal once again after 3 years. On October 16, Sachin took to his Twitter account and raised the issue again. He wrote,”I reiterate the fact that my children Arjun & Sara are not on twitter. We request @Twitter to remove all such accounts at the earliest (1/2).”

In his next tweet, Sachin added,”Impersonation wreaks havoc, creates misunderstanding & traumatises us. I appeal to the platforms to take corrective measures immediately.”

Creating fake social media handles are very easy and it has numerous drawbacks as well. Since Sachin has made it clear that his children are not on Twitter, the site should take strict action as soon as possible.

Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun has been recently selected for the U-19 Mumbai team for the forthcoming Vinoo Mankad Trophy.  He had also represented Mumbai in the under-16 tournament in the 2015-16 season and played in the ‘B’ division of the just-concluded Dr. HD Kanga Cricket League for Parel Cricket Club.
