Rishabh Pant Dancing To His Own Chant In The Stadium Is Winning The Internet

He’ll hit you for a six. He’ll babysit your kids. We’ve got Rishab Pant!

Rishabh Pant has been instrumental in India’s historic Test series win by 2-1 against Australia. But his exquisite strokeplay is not the only thing that he was in news for. It was his banter with Australian batsmen, especially Tim Paine, which made headlines.

The second-highest run scorer of the Test series took the banter in the right spirit setting an example for others. Instead of getting offended by the ‘babysit’ dig of Paine, he posed for a photo with his wife and kids during an event before the fourth Test. It will be understatement that the photo went viral.

The dig and the aftermath of it led to Team India’s fan group Bharat Army composing a chant/song for the youngster. They chanted it during the fourth Test when Pant became the first Indian wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Australia.

After the Test series win, Pant acknowledged his fans and danced to the tunes of the song created for him.

The 21-year-old has every right to celebrate as he has achieved so much at such a young age. He went past MS Dhoni’s best-ever Test ranking and attained joint-highest Test rankings for an Indian wicketkeeper. Farokh Engineer reached the 17th place in 1973.
