Ravichandran Ashwin took the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim to become the fastest to reach 250 Test wickets, surpasses Dennis Lillee's 26-year-old record

Ravichandran Ashwin creates history as he reaches 250 wickets in his 45th Test. Ashwin broke the 26-year-old record of Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee who reached the feat in his 48th Test. Ashwin took the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim to get to this feat. Ashwin used his trademark, carrom ball to get rid of the Bangladesh skipper who scored his fifth Test century.

He picked the priced wicket of Shakib Al Hasan as well, on Day 3. Hasan was inching closer to his century. He was attacking the spinners by dancing down the wicket. On seeing Hasan coming down the wicket Ashwin pitched the ball wide and gave it a bit extra tweak.

Ashwin tried really hard as he tried attacking field against left-hand tailender Taskin Ahmed. The replay showed that the ball was hitting the stumps. India did not had any reviews left otherwise the lbw appeal could have been converted into a wicket.

He picked the priced wicket of Shakib Al Hasan as well, on Day 3. Hasan was inching closer to his century. He was attacking the spinners by dancing down the wicket. On seeing Hasan coming down the wicket Ashwin pitched the ball wide and gave it a bit extra tweak.

Ashwin has had a great season this time around. He bowled well in West Indies condition also. After Harbhajan Singh, Ashwin has been the spearhead of Indian spin attack.

Not only in bowling department, but Ashwin has proved himself as an all-rounder over and over again. He has 4 centuries to his name and an average which is better than that of Rohit Sharma. He has rescued the team at many instances

It was quite evident that the pitch would wear off in the third session. Ashwin was getting turn and bounce from the pitch.  The ball almost spun square after pitching in a rough patch beating the bat by a mile.
