PIC: Virat Kohli has a SMILE after losing a review!

India v Australia Ranchi Test: Umesh bowled to Marsh and it was a lbw appeal, the umpire said no, prompting Kohli to take the DRS which he lost

It is unusual to see Indian skipper Virat Kohli smile after losing a DRS. This has been Virat Kohli’s forgettable season with the DRS. He has lost more than he won. In the third Test that is being played at Ranchi, Virat Kohli finally found team India on the right side of the review and Steven Smith on the wrong on day 4. An animated Kohli walked out of the dressing room when Smith lost a review and applauded the Indian batters in the middle Cheteshwar Pujara and Wriddhiman Saha.

So what exactly happened that got Virat Kohli smiling. Umesh Yadav was the bowler, Marsh was the batsman. It was an leg before wicket appeal that the umpire turned down, prompting Kohli to take the DRS. He eventually lost the DRS, but there was no reaction this time, he smiled it off! And that is how it should be. Virat Kohli must have seen the lighter side of that considering that was not out.

So that was on the funnier side but knowing Kohli, he wants to win everything and hence losing the review must have hurt the blue-eyed Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

As we speak, Australia has stitched a partnership between Shaun Marsh and Handscomb and are traing by 13 runs. It seems the Test is heading for the inevitable.
