In the latest T20 bowler rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistani spinner Imad Wasim has topped the table with 780 points. A few days earlier his team stunned the world by defeating India in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and today, he has excelled his field in the T20I tournaments. Imad has replaced the star South African spinner Imran Tahir who leaked 75 runs in his last seven overs in the last T20 game against England and lost his place which he acquired earlier in January this year.
India’s young speedster Jasprit Bumrah secured the 2nd place with 764 points followed by Imran Tahir at the third spot and Afghanistani sensation Rashid Khan at the 4th.Surprisingly, bowlers like Chriss Morris and Liam Plunkett have shown a massive improvement in their rankings as they currently hold 29th and 38th rank respectively.

Talking about the batsmen, Indian skipper Virat Kohli continues at the top spot surpassing Australia’s David Warner (787 points) and New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson (745 points). Good news comes for the Proteas skipper AB de Villiers who made a comeback in the top 20 ranking list.

Despite losing the 3-match T20 series to England, AB had a good stint with his bat as he scored a total of 146 runs in three games. His phenomenal performance helped him jumping up by 12 places and grab the 2oth rank.
As far as the teams are concerned, New Zealand rules the table followed by Pakistan at the second place and England at third. The fourth spot has been occupied India who is currently ahead of West Indies.
