Move over Disha Patani, Smriti Mandhana is the new crush of youngsters in India

It seems the Bollywood too, may come calling soon. Well that is far-fetched as she has a long cricketing career ahead of her

India eves defeated Sri Lankan counterparts by 16 runs to make it to the final-four. Indian eves are the team to beat in this tournament as they have not yet lost a single match. Deepti Sharma was adjudicated the woman of the match for her splendid 78 off 110 balls. She also picked up a wicket with the ball, her figures read 46 for 1 in 10 overs.

Smriti Mandhana is no more an unknown name in the cricketing circuit. Her consistent performance in the ongoing Women’s World Cup cricket has made her the new pin-up girl of India. If some are comparing her with Shikhar Dhawan then some are even calling her the National crush of India. The comments are pretty diverse but one thing is for sure that Smriti Mandhana has become a name to reckon with even in the advertising circles. India women have won all the matches in this tournament and look strong contenders to lift the crown. Against England and West Indies in the first two matches she scored 90 and an unbeaten 100 respectively. And the best part is, she is all of 20, just 20. It seems the Bollywood too, may come calling soon. Well that is far-fetched as she has a long cricketing career ahead of her,. So all that can wait.

Disha Patani on the other hand comes from a totally different world, she hails from Bollywood. She featured in MS Dhoni’s biopic and that is her shot to fame.
