Welcome to InUth’s live coverage of India vs Bangladesh one-off Test, Day 4. Stay tuned to the live blog for updates throughout the day. Against all odds, Bangladesh have been able to impress in Hyderabad Test with the bat. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim played an inning of character on Day 3. Rahim held onto his end when he was running out of partners. He had bruises on his body while walking back to the pavilion, but most of all he had bravery in his eyes.

Rahim was accompanied by Mehedi Hasan, with whom he had already put on 87 runs for the seventh wicket. Hasan took the pressure off Rahim. He scored his first Test fifty on Day 3. The pitch is helping the bowlers now, providing turn and bounce for the spinners. Seamers too are trying to extract that extra bounce to surprise the batsmen. In the last over of Day 3, Ishant Sharma banged the ball short, which went on to hit Rahim’s fingers.

Sharma will continue to do so on Day 4 as well. Ravichandran Ashwin is still away from his 250th wicket which will make him the fastest in history to reach this wicket. He will be able to break Australian fast-bowling legend, Dennis Lillee’s 36-year-old record.

Earlier Shakib Al Hasan saved Bangladesh from danger when he led the Bangladeshi counter-attack. Shakib got out for 82, but he scored freely, sweeping the ball and piercing the field when fast bowlers came on. He gave his wicket away trying to smash Ashwin’s delivery. Instead, he became his 249th wicket.

Umesh Yadav bowled his heart out on Day 3. Yadav constantly asked questions from the batsmen. He went for boundaries but produced wicket-taking deliveries on both days. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled tight lines but has not been able to take a wicket yet.
