India are on an unbeaten streak of 19 Tests, they will intend to keep it that way as their skipper Kohli chases glory. If India do not lose a single Test in this series, Kohli will surpass former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting’s record of 22 unbeaten Tests and with that he will take another step towards former West Indies skipper Clive Llyod’s record of 26 Tests.
Australia have not been able to win a single Test series on their tour to India for over 12 years. For the first time, the Aussies have been termed as Underdogs before the tournament as India have won 6 Test series on the trot.
Australian batsmen had a fruitful practice match against India A at Mumbai as their batsmen had a crack at the bowlers before the actual tour begins.
Although, the Kangaroos showed their true nature as they sledged Shreyas Iyer who went on to score double hundred in the match. This was a wake-up call for the visitors reminding them that sledging Indian players is not an option this time around.
