Thank You, Kevin Pietersen For Slamming China For Lifting Ban On Use of Rhino & Tiger Parts

Don't you think Kevin Pietersen's anger is justified?

Recently,  Chinese government  baffled everyone by lifting a 25-year-old ban on the trade and use of rhino and tiger parts. They plan to use it for medicinal purpose allowing hospitals to breed these animals in captivity. However, this may also lead to poaching of these endangered animals.

Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen was left fuming at the decision as he took to Instagram. Here’s what an emotional Pietersen had to say opposing the Chinese government’s decision,

So the news about China lifting that ban on the rhino horn has made me incredibly angry. I just don’t understand it. I don’t know how a human being isn’t smart enough, clever enough, intelligent enough to understand that rhino horn has absolutely zero medicinal value. It’s your finger nail, there is rhino horn, right there. Why should the animals suffer? Why should the rhinos suffer? Why? It’s stupidity, uneducated nonsense and it’s really annoying me. Something has to be done at the top level, government level. Someone with brains has to stand up and say — Listen! Enough is enough, you need to leave our animals.

The 38-year-old went on to urge South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to retweet his tweet bashing Chinese government hoping it will have an impact on the decision.

Earlier in the year Pietersen founded a charity foundation SORAI (Save Our Rhinos Africa, India) which got support from Bollywood celebrities and cricketers. On his trip he adopted an orphan baby leopard from Raipur, Chattisgarh.

The former English cricketer has been working towards preserving our wildlife for a while now. Currently, he is working with National Geographic on a conservation documentary on the plight of rhino in Africa.
