James Anderson Shredding R Ashwin's Photo After Mankading Has Deep Dasgupta Fuming

James Anderson invited criticism for shredding R Ashwin's photo after IPL's first mankading

Ravichandran Ashwin ‘mankading’ Jos Buttler was officially the first controversy of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. From cricket fraternity to fans, everyone was divided. Some favoured Ashwin saying that he was well within his rights whereas others called it ‘disgraceful’ and ‘unsportsmanlike’. Rajasthan Royals (RR) mentor was livid with Ashwin’s actions but none of them did what English fast bowler James Anderson did.

Anderson did not just disagree with Ashwin’s methods of dismissing Buttler but shredded his photo too. The video has been making rounds on the internet.

Former Indian cricketer Deep Dasgupta was not happy with the Englishman’s actions as he tweeted:

Not just him, Twitter was in no mood to let this pass by as they slammed the 36-year-old:

The sarcasm level in that tweet

Maybe he is a little jealous

Not a gentleman off the field

So much for the spirit of the game

Shred these!

And the Bollywood angle

The highest English wicket-taker in Tests felt that Ashwin premeditated the dismissal. He also believed that Buttler’s bat would have been inside the crease had Ashwin gone on to bowl the delivery instead of waiting for the RR batsman to go out.
