IPL Auctions 2018: Kamlesh Nagarkoti to Ishan Kishan, 15 uncapped Indian players who bagged Rs 3 cr+

The onus will now be on these young bunch of players to live up to the billing as there is a lot of money running on them

The Indian Premier League is a platform where fortunes are made. It has changed lives in the past and has been the best stage which promotes young talent. This year, at the auction table, the same trend was witnessed, and franchises were seen splashing moolah for the young Turks. It was also heart-warming to see U-19 talent being noticed and rewarded, with the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi.

The opening day was all about franchisees looking to form a core unit and all the focus was on the players on their must-have list. Franchises spent Rs 321.10 cr and bought 78 players from which Ben Stokes fetched highest. He was sold for Rs 12.5 cr to Rajasthan Royals.
