IPL Season 10 Auction 2017: A total of 351 players are set to feature in the upcoming IPL Auction in Bengaluru on February 20.

Initially, the grapevine carried the news that 699 players, international and national will go under the hammer. Now, they have chopped the list down to 351 players which has 122 overseas players.

The player auction is slated to be held in Bengaluru at the Ritz Carlton on the 20th of February. Six players from associate nations is also in the fray, five from Afghanistan and a solitary player from the UAE.

The coveted list also has a few big national players as well, 122 to be precise.

Some of the big Indian names include the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, who has a base price of Rs 30 lakhs, who has got a ton in the shortest format and in a recent press conference expressed his desire to play for a franchise. Ishant Sharma who has stalked a base price of Rs 2 cr will also test his fate. By the looks of his recent form he should be a judicious buy for any franchise looking for a pacer up front.

The biggest international names include Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Chris Woakes then the Australian in the fray are speedster Mitchell Johnson, Pat Cummins and Sri Lankan Angelo Matthews.

It is also heart warming to see associate nations being included in the auctions in a bid to take IPL wide and across. Also with a base price for them that is low, the franchises will surely be interested in them, which again augurs well for the prosperity of cricket.
