IPL 2018: It seems cricket fans are heartbroken over the incident and some also feel it is the end of cricket at Chepauk

Days after the protests over the Cauvery Row erupted, it was also demanded that IPL matches should not be held at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Now, finally, there is some clarity on the issue as sources, according to ANI, have disclosed that IPL matches are going to be shifted to another venue in Chennai. Chepauk hosted Kolkata Knight Riders last night in a heart-stopping clash that went down to the last over before CSK clinched victory from the jaws of defeat.

Over 4000 policemen were stationed to oversee that no violence erupted in the duration of the match. Even the toss was delayed as match referees and officials could not make it to the ground on time. During the match, shoes were even hurled at Ravindra Jadeja and Faf du Plessis. Meanwhile, superstar Rajinikanth lashed out at the attack on cops by protestors, during the match. The protests are taking place all over Tamil Nadu, demanding the constitution of Cauvery Management Board.
