Harmanpreet Kaur, who is leading the Supernovas side in a one-off “Indian Premier League-styled” women’s T20 face-off against the Smriti Mandhana-led Trailblazers, surprised everyone after she took a stunning catch to dismiss her counterpart at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 22.
Mandhana, who was batting in her prime form, tried to clear Ellyse Perry over mid-on for a boundary, but Supernovas’ skipper Kaur was stationed there at the circle and jumped high in the air to take a stunning catch and sent Mandhana back to the pavilion.
Mandhana couldn’t believe her eyes as she left stranded at the crease for a while. She was batting at 14.
