IPL 2018, MI vs RCB: Virat Kohli Has The Opportunity To Break This Big Record Of Sachin Tendulkar!

IPL 2018: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar won the first award in this category in the 2010 season

Virat Kohli has a big chance of going past Sachin Tendulkar. Well, still guessing how? Both the cricketing heroes have bagged the Most Valuable Player award, once each. That means Virat Kohli stands a chance of breezing past that record in IPL 11. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar won the first award in this category in 2010 season, representing Mumbai Indians with 618 runs in the season. Virat Kohli in the eighth season of the IPL won the Most Valuable Player award and became second Indian to win this award with 973 runs in the season. So, with the kind of form Virat Kohli is currently in, it will not be a surprise if he achieves it this year.

Sachin Tendulkar has played IPL in which he represented Mumbai Indians and also helped them lift the trophy once. It happened two years after Sachin helped India win the ICC Cricket World Cup. Sachin quit all forms of the game once he helped Mumbai Indians win the crown in 2013.

Virat Kohli is yet to win the Indian Premier League, which may prove to be a bother. But knowing him, he would rather focus on the future than ponder over the past.

It seems he is all pumped up and ready to go.

Virat Kohli happens to be the only cricketer to have been involved in 3 double-century stands — twice with AB de Villiers and once with Chris Gayle. The RCB team has undergone a revamp in 2018 and getting the required number of wins early on in the tournament would be the key for them.
