IPL 2018: Stuart Binny Once Again Gets Trolled For A Disappointing Show Against Kings XI Punjab

IPL 2018, RR vs KXIP: Stuart Binny got run-out despite getting a decent start with the bat

Stuart Binny got another chance to play for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and failed to make it count. Binny played only one match in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 before the clash against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). In the first match, Binny played against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), scored 10 runs and could not pick up a single wicket after leaking 33 runs. Against KXIP, the all-rounder got off to a good start but got run-out after scoring 11 runs from 7 balls.

Binny, who is often been on the receiving end of the trolls, got trending on Twitter once again for all the wrong reasons —

The Karnataka all-rounder showed signs of getting back into the form as he picked the knuckleball from Andrew Tye and struck it for a biggie over long-on in the 18th over. He got out in the same over while trying to sneak a single. However, a dive would have saved his wicket.

As a result, RR suffered a mini batting collapse and managed to post a total of 158 for 8 on their home ground. Tye picked up three wickets in the last over and gave away just 6 runs to restrict RR.

The 33-year-old has not been given many chances this year. He used to be a mainstay in RR and was a part of their IPL-winning team. He used to be known for his cameos down the order and for picking up crucial wickets with a change of pace. He has not been able to pull off an effort like that in a while. He was roped in by RR for Rs 50 lakh in IPL 2018 auctions.
