Bollywood actress Preity Zinta co-owned Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) franchise is set to start a new season of the Indian Premier League under new captain Ravichandran Ashwin, when they take on Delhi Daredevils (DD) in their opening encounter at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on April 8.
KXIP are yet to register their name on the IPL trophy. KXIP have managed to reach the playoffs only twice. They started their IPL campaign with a lot of promise in the first season as they reached the semi-finals and secured the third spot. Their best performance came under the leadership of George Bailey who led them to the finals in 2014.
KXIP would be hoping to start IPL 11 on a positive note with a win.
Hera are some of the milestones KXIP players can achieve in their first clash against DD:
Yuvraj Singh (141 Sixes) – The left-handed batsman, who is making a comeback in KXIP squad, needs to hit 6 more sixes to surpass Yusuf Pathan’s tally of 146 sixes.

Axar Patel (66 Wickets) – Left-arm spinner needs 6 more wickets to surpass Sandeep Sharma (19 Wickets) in the list of most wicket takers in IPL. If he manages to grab 19 more wickets in the tournament, Patel will become the leading wicket-taker for Punjab. Currently, Piyush Chawla (Currently in KKR) is leading the chart with 84 wickets.
Axar Patel (23 Catches) – The bowling all-rounder needs to take 4 more catches to surpass Shaun March to be at no 2 in the list of most catches taken by KXIP players in IPL.
R Ashwin (100 Wickets) – The newly appointed KXIP captain, Ashwin needs to pick 4 more wickets to surpass Vinay Kumar’s tally of 103 wickets in the list of the most number of wickets taken by bowlers in IPL. With 7 more wickets, Ashwin will surpass Ashish Nehra (106) to be at number 7. Lasith Malinga is currently at No 1 with 154 wickets followed by Amit Mishra with 134.

David Miller (78 Sixes) – The former KXIP captain needs to hit one more 6 to become leading six-hitter for Punjab. He will surpass Glenn Maxwell.
