IPL 2018, DD vs KXIP, Match 22: Delhi Daredevils fail to break Kings XI Punjab's victory run, lose by 4 runs

Hard luck continues for the Delhi Daredevils as they lose yet another match in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They took off well against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) as they bowled some phenomenal spells in the first innings and restricted the opponents at 143/8. However, the things for them as the KXIP bowlers bounced back and plucked 3 wickets in the power-play. Later, Shreyas Iyer (57) and Rahul Tewatia (24) together tried their best to take the game close to victory. But Tewatia’s wicket loss in the 18th over and a tight spell from Barinder Sran took the game away from DD’s jaw. Iyer tried hard to finish the game in Delhi’s favour but failed to hit the winning runs and remained unbeaten. Gambhir & Co. fell short by 4 runs and lost the game despite having 5 changes in the team.
