Evin Lewis decimates India with 125* off 62 balls, here's how Twitter reacted to his insane knock

India v West Indies, T20I: For a change, Chris Gayle at the other end seemed to be playing in a different planet, it does not happen often

Move over Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis is the new six-machine from the Caribbean island. His 62 ball 1258 was a testament of that against a formidable team India. Earlier in the day, West Indies won the toss and put India into bat first. India courtesy a few cameos managed a competitive 190. The target seemed to be a challenging one at the outset as India had the resources with the ball, so as they thought. But spoiling all equation, young Evin Lewis showed exactly why he is so highly rated in West Indies. He smashed a breathtaking 125 off 62 balls, an innings that comprised of 12 humongous sixes and half-a-dozen boundaries. For a change, Chris Gayle at the other end seemed to be playing in a different planet, it does not happen often.

Gayle was happy to take a single whenever he got strike and book himself a ticket at the non-striker’s end. Lewis cleared the ground with utmost ease and left the Blues embarrassed. This is not the first time he has got to a century in a T20, he achieved this feat against India in the past as well. He had got a 100 off 49 balls. Eventually, Lewis’ maverick helped Windies close the match with 9 balls to spare and with 9 wickets in hand. Here is how the world is reacted on Twitter to his insane 125* off 62 balls:
