MUST WATCH: Hardik Pandya INJURES himself, is his series over?

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for India, he picked 4 for 43 in his quota of overs. Chahal chipped in with two wickets as well

Hardik Pandya has become the new pin up boy of Indian cricket team, ever since he played that fighting knock against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan. Soon after that, he got his maiden Test century against Sri Lanka in 86 balls. He is the new star on the block, no doubt. He is somebody who is very popular in the dressing room as well. But what happened to Pandya while playing the second One Day International against Sri Lanka has become a national concern. He stopped bowling due to an injury and was heavily strapped.

Pandya picked the important wicket of the Sri Lankan skipper Upul Tharanga, but he could not complete his sixth over. Heavily strapped, he pulled up in his run up for the third delivery. He walked off of the field, even as Kedar Jadhav finished the over.

Pandya has also become Virat Kohli’s blue-eyed boy, there are also comparisons in Indian media about Hardik being the next Kapil. He surely is ticking the right boxes. The 23-year-old has a long career ahead of him and if he manages to remain fit, he can surely come close to being what the legendary Kapil Dev was.

India bowled really well in the second ODI to keep the hosts down to 237 on a wicket that according to Virat Kohli will be a better strip to bat on under the lights. With a little bit of rain interrupting proceedings, it is now a 47 overs match and India needs to get 231 to win.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for India, he picked 4 for 43 in his quota of overs. Chahal chipped in with two wickets as well.
