The first Test match between India and Sri Lanka is all set to start on July 26 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Balagolla. Virat Kohli-led Indian team is currently on a tour to the neighbouring country where they are scheduled to play three Tests, 5 ODIs and one-off T20. This tour is also the first one for the head coach Ravi Shastri and bowling coach Bharat Arun after they recently appointed for the job by the BCCI. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will surely look for another series victory and retain their first position in the ICC Test rankings.

For the upcoming tour, the Sri Lankan cricket board announced their Test Squad on July 23. Dinesh Chandimal, who captained the Lankan side in the one-off Test against Zimbabwe, has been dropped due to injury and spinner Rangana Herath replaced him as the stand-in skipper. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan is back in the Test squad after 9 months as he replaced Murali Vijay who got injured days after the squad was initially announced.

Cheteshwar Pujara recently shared a picture on his official Instagram account in which players like Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Pujara himself could be seen having lunch together.
