Lasith Malinga hosted the Indian players at his place while the players of the Sri Lanka cricket team also attended the dinner along with Sri Lankan legend and former cricketer Mahela Jayawardene

The Indian cricket team is currently having a Galla time in Sri Lanka. Earlier, they white washed the home team by 3-0 in the Test series and now they are rooting to conquer the ODI series as well as they are already leading it by 4-0. Ahead of the final ODI game which is scheduled to be played on September 3, Virat Kohli & Co. visited Lasith Malinga’s place for a grand dinner.

Malinga recently celebrated his birthday and also became the fifth quickest bowler to pluck 300 wickets in ODIs. He hosted the Indian players at his place while the players of the Sri Lanka cricket team also attended the dinner along with Sri Lankan legend and former cricketer Mahela Jayawardene. Since the Lankan players keep on featuring in the Indian Premier League, they have very healthy bonds with their Indian opponents. Especially, Lasith Malinga, who has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians squad and have shared the dressing room with Indian boys like Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Ajinkya Rahane.

The Indian players were highly delighted by Lasith Malinga’s gesture and they thanked him on the social media with sharing some of the pictures of dinner night. Indian vice captain and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma took to his Instagram handle and shared a groupfie. He also captioned the photo which read,”Great night with great friends.”
