Shikhar Dhawan's gets quirky like Virender Sehwag, his tweet on Yuzvendra Chahal sums up his magic spell!

India will now play the 3rd ODI on February 10 and the pressure will be on the home side in that match

It seems the Virender Sehwag bug has smitten Shikhar Dhawan as well!

Shikhar Dhawan seems to have taken the Virender Sehwag route when it comes to being quirky on Twitter after India’s comprehensive victory over South Africa by 9 wickets. Dhawan lavished praise on Yuzvendra Chahal, who returned with figures of 5/22 in 8.2 overs. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s Team India have taken a 2-0 lead in the 6-match One Day International series. Chahal’s bowling was instrumental in reducing the hosts to a paltry 118 — a total which never looked to pose a threat to the star-studded Indian batting line-up. Dhawan’s 51 unbeaten was good enough to seal the match for India.

After the win, Dhawan’s one-liner for Chahal pretty much sums up his efforts with the ball. Dhawan’s tweet on Chahal read:

It is a Hindi saying, which literally means ‘pocket-sized dynamo’. Chahal is short and skinny, not someone you would associate with decimating through the South African batting order. Chahal’s figures were the best by any Indian bowler on South African soil, even eclipsing Yuvraj Singh’s 4 for 6 against Namibia at Pietermaritzburg during 2003 World Cup.

Kohli too lauded the two Indian wrist-spinners who scalped 8 wickets between them. Kohli said he was confident the two tweakers will get the ball to spin on any given surface.

Here is what he said in the post-match presentation,

“The pitch was harder than Durban and the spinners used it. We knew we won’t get grass on the pitch because when it’s seaming, it can be anyone’s game. We knew the wickets would be hard and dry and knew our wrist spinners can get it to turn anywhere. They just didn’t give South Africa any chance,”

India will now play the 3rd ODI on February 10 and the pressure will be on the home side in that match.
