Team India is in the best form right now. After losing the ODI series to Australia in 2016, they are yet to lose a bilateral ODI series, having beaten Zimbabwe, New Zealand, England, West Indies and Sri Lanka

Virat Kohli & Co completed a glorious tour of Sri Lanka where they scripted history. The men in blue registered a terrific 9-0 win in the series and became the only team to whitewash Sri Lanka at their home in ODIs. Post their phenomenal success, Team India is all set to host Australia in a 5-match ODI and 3-match T20I bilateral series starting from September 17.

Earlier this year, the Australian Cricket Team visited India to play a 4-match Test series under Steven Smith’s leadership. Despite winning the Kanpur Test by a giant margin of 333 runs, the Aussies lost the series by 2-1 with one match drawn. After a period of 5 months, the Tigers are all set to face the Kangaroos and will look forward to surpassing them in ICC ODI rankings. Currently, India is at the 3rd position, one behind Australia. Both the teams have 117 points on the table and this series may see one of them securing the top spot.

Australia is presently playing a 2-match Test series against Bangladesh where they have lost the first Test by 20 runs while the second match is underway.
