India will be looking for redemption against Australia at Bengaluru after a forgettable display of batting at Pune

In order to overcome the defeat of 333 runs against Australia which came as a nightmare at Pune, Team India is all set to play the Aussie guests in the second game of the Test series in Bengaluru on March 4. Virat Kohli and Co. will put all their efforts to repair the house of victory once again which was brutally shattered by the Kangaroos in the previous game where Steve O’Keefe acted as the tornado. On March 2, head coach Anil Kumble addressed the press where he stressed on moving head. He said that as a coach, it is more important to look ahead. The previous game was one of those where things didn’t go in their favour. Another three Test matches are there in the series and the entire team are looking forward to that.

“There is no question of dropping Rahane. He has scored really well. He has been extremely successful for the last couple of years. There is absolutely no question about that. In terms of the team composition we still haven’t discussed on that. All 16 are available. Yes, it is unfortunate that Karun Nair missed out after he scored the triple hundred but that’s the way the composition of the team has been that we look to play five bowlers and it was unfortunate he came in as a replacement,” said Kumble on Rahane’s replacement and Karun Nair’s inclusion.

However, giving few indications about change in the squad, skipper Kohli, in a press conference, cleared the air on Hardik Pandya as he is unavailable for selection in Tests due to a minor shoulder strain. Though, Kohli kept his cards up his sleeve when he was asked about the team combinations. While Karun Nair spent a considerable time in the nets on both days before the match, while Jayant Yadav was reduced to a part-player with R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja bowling the majority of time.

As far as the Australian squad is concerned, skipper Steve Smith has announced that they will going unchanged.

Pitch Condition: The pitch is supposed to be much better than the one in Pune for batsmen. Bengaluru pitch is also believed to be a surface which will yield a result in a span of 5 days. Earlier Indian coach Anil Kumble too asked everyone to move on from Pune Test and focus on the second one, he believes that India can win the series as they have lost only one game.
