Sachin Tendulkar has a message on Durga Puja. Bengalis will love it -- WATCH

It seems Sachin Tendulkar is always up for a cause, this time he is concerned about the fitness of his fellow east Indians

Durga Puja is finally here and the festivities are in full swing in Kolkata. It is the time of the year that Bengalis long for. The Australian team was spotted checking out places when they were in Kolkata for the 2nd One Day International. Most of the Australian cricketers are either being accompanied by their wives or girlfriends. With the festivities in full swing, Sachin Tendulkar had a message for all youngsters. In a video he posted, he announced the date for the Kolkata Marathon, which has now become an annual event. He also said that all the pandal hopping was going to test the fitness, as that was what he was endorsing. He then challenged people in Kolkata to take part in the marathon by saying, ‘I want to see how fit you are.’ The marathon takes place on 4th February 2018, which is a long way off.

It seems Sachin Tendulkar will also be there during IDBI’s event.

His tweet read, ‘Shubho Durga Pujo Kolkata! Enjoy the festival and join me for another celebration on 4th February 2018.”

Amidst all this, the Australian team is in India for a 5-match One Day International series. Virat Kohli-led team India has already taken a 3-0 unassailable lead, thanks to a collective performance by all the players. It seems the team is shaping well for the 2019 cricket World Cup, which happens to be on the top of Virat Kohli’s agenda. In his past press conferences, he has made it clear that the team is looking to breed a pool of 20-25 players for that flagship event. India will take on Australia in the 4th ODI at Bengaluru, the forecast for that match is not all that good.
