Not Sachin Tendulkar, this 38 year old from Delhi inspired Virat Kohli. Find out!

Ashish Nehra could be a key cog in India's wheel with the future of T20I's

Virat Kohli-led team India has been in ominous form ever since Ravi Shastri took charge of the Indian cricket team. The stocks of Virat Kohli has been hitting the sky and as the captain of the Indian cricket team, he is taking the team to newer heights. After humbling Australia 4-1 at home, India is getting ready for the 3 T20I’s. And one member who is making a comeback to the team is Ashish Nehra, the Delhi born pacer. Virat Kohli and Ashish Nehra seem to be knowing each other for a long time. Virat Kohli also calls him ‘Ashu Bhai’ out of respect and love. The Indian cricket team has already attained the number one spot in Tests and ODI’s and Virat is targetting a number one spot in T20I’s as well by the end of the year. A big player in achieving that target could be about whom Virat Kohli opened up and spoke candidly about his state senior.

“I have come here only because I watched the previous (Ashish Nehra’s) episode,” Kohli said. I was inspired by that…I didn’t feel like coming until I saw Nehraji’s episode,” hilariously stated Virat Kohli according to IB Times.

“It was amazing! I have never watched an interview like this in my life. People don’t really know that he (Nehra) doesn’t try to be funny, but he is. That is what we love about him….But he is a good man,” claimed captain Kohli.

He concluded by saying that he was looking forward to meeting his fellow Delhi teammate, Ashish Nehra in the upcoming T20I series against Australia. “Ashu Bhai is a class apart. Now we will meet him during the T20s,” ended Kohli.

Ashish Nehra is all set to make a comeback into the blues after a layoff for about two years, from when he got injured.
