David Warner hits a huge 107-metre long six in his 100th ODI, ball hits top tier of the stadium -- Watch Video

Warner hit the second ball of the 34th over, delivered by Axar Patel, so hard towards the long on that kept travelling in the air till it hit the topmost tear of the spectator's gallery. It covered 107 metres

David Warner, the dangerous Australian opener, celebrated his 100th ODI match in style while playing against India in the 4th ODI at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on September 28. Warner made his 100th outing memorable by hitting a phenomenal hundred and scored a total of 124 runs off 119 balls before losing his wicket to Kedar Jadhav. With this outstanding inning, David Warner has now become the first Australian cricketer to score a ton in his 100th ODI match. The same feat was achieved by the former Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting in Tests.

Warner opened the inning with his mate Aaron Finch and gave a solid start to the team. By the end of first 10 overs, the Aussies scored 63 runs without losing a wicket. The opening pair smashed the Indian bowlers till the 35th over and put 231 runs on the board for the first wicket. Meanwhile, Warner did an ‘MS Dhoni’ at the Chinnaswamy stadium which left all the people awestruck.

It was the 34th over when Warner hit the second ball, delivered by Axar Patel, so hard towards the long on that kept travelling in the air till it hit the topmost tear of the spectator’s gallery. It covered 107 metres.

Earlier today, Steve Smith won the toss and opted to bat first. Despite an extraordinary start, the Aussie batting line-up trembled for a bit after the dismissals of Warner and Finch. Steven Smith (3) and Travis Head (29) were back to pavilion soon. However, Peter Handscomb and Marcus Stoinis balance the inning towards the end and Australia could manage to put 334 runs on the board.
