India vs Afghanistan one-off Test: Afghanistan became the 12th nation to play Test cricket

India’s left-handed opener, Shikhar Dhawan started the one-off historic Test match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on June 14 by creating a record as he became the first Indian player to score a century before lunch on 1st day of the test match.

With this, Dhawan became the sixth batsman in Test history to score a century before lunch after Victor Trumper, Charles Macartney, Don Bradman, Majid Khan and David Warner.

Dhawan came to open the innings for India with Murali Vijay after India’s stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bat first.

Earlier, Afghanistan became the 12th nation to play Test cricket.
